La vase noire dans l'oeil nuit offers a simple program: each page consists of an image and a legend. The image is a black and white wash done from a freeze frame of a detective series, in this image the faces were redacted and each one annotated with a letter. Each letter is included in the legend under the image and allows to associate a short text to each face.
In the beginning, very short texts try to describe these faces without using the proper vocabulary (no "nose", "mouth" or "cheeks"). These clumsy attempts are enriched from page to page, colonizing line by line the space of the image, and opening with the words worlds more and more vast. The succession of pages, in addition to the unfolding of police scenes, sketches the story of a hysterical look, hungry and unable to slow down in the face of vertigo.
